We are a community-focused organisation founded by Professor Kehinde Andrews and Dr Dionne Taylor to translate Black Studies into practical education, research and social impact.
Our work is organised around four connected pillars: research, education, community engagement and global impact. We develop accessible Black Studies programmes, work collaboratively with communities and institutions, and build partnerships across the UK and internationally.

A major focus is developing a Global Black Studies curriculum that connects academic knowledge with lived experience and supports young people, educators and communities. Our approach is informed by the ICEPAR framework and Liberation Engagement, meaning that intersectionality, community participation, accountability, reflexivity and care are built into how we design and deliver our work.
Ultimately, BRIDGE exists to build the infrastructure needed for Black Studies to create lasting educational, community and global change.
